The residents of Jerome Home recently ran a fundraiser on behalf of their animal visitation “Wags and Tails” team of volunteers to benefit the Friends of The Berlin Animal Control (F.O.B.A.C.). “Giving back to the community is so important to the residents,” says Rita Nadeau-Breive, Director of Therapeutic Recreation and Volunteers. On Thursday, May 7th, the residents presented $390 to Carolyn Mitchell, FOBAC Treasurer and Jan Lund, FOBAC Secretary. In addition, Jerome Home’s resident council donated $100 to the cause as well as food donations for the pet pantry.
Over 10 residents dedicated their time to man Jerome Home’s “Paws For Life” booth while sharing stories and memories of their favorite pet with donors and each other. Please help to make a difference by making a donation to the Friends of the Berlin Animal Control or other preferred Animal Shelter.
